New Jersey Natural Family Planning (NJNFP) is building a national network of corporately independent medical practices (“centers”) to provide women a continuum of quality fertility care centered on natural family planning (NFP) and consistent with a culture of life.

There are currently several hundred practicing NFP-Only physicians in the US, many listed in the well-known One More Soul directory. In addition, every major modern NFP Method has a valuable outreach to physicians and medical professionals. Our focus is on a business development model that significantly increases the number of NFP medical providers in the country by lowering the barriers to entry and streamlining the path to profitability.

This new corporate entity (henceforth referred to as “SCION”) will assist and/or establish centers around the country staffed by physicians, nurses, mid-wives, PA's, and affiliated NFP instructors who subscribe to the SCION Statement of Beliefs (SOB, TBD).

These centers will operate procedurally similar to a standard medical practice with respect to billing, insurance, and range of women’s care, but will not recommend or prescribe contraceptives, refer or provide abortions or abortifacients, or embrace any artificial reproductive technologies (ART).

Approved methods of NFP (listed in SOB) will be taught, encouraged, or prescribed from the center as a billable, reimbursable event. NFP charts will be the foundation of a broad range of diagnoses and treatment options consistent with the SOB. SCION will not only actively market and advertise nationally to drive new patients to member centers, but also, investigate the use of new technologies (e.g., video web conferencing) to assist in remotely connecting patients to clinics.
